Governance

By maintaining strong governance—through our policies, risk management framework, and our ethical conduct—we build trust with our stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in our sustainability performance.

Sustainability Governance Structure

At Moog, our commitment to sustainability is deeply rooted in our dedication to protecting people, the communities where we do business, and the planet. We recognize that effective governance is essential to achieving our sustainability goals and ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical management throughout our organization.

To support our sustainability efforts, we have established a comprehensive Sustainability Governance Structure. Our Sustainability Team, led by our Director of Sustainability, is ultimately accountable for driving progress toward our sustainability goals. However, this structure ensures that sustainability is integrated into every level of our organization, starting with the highest levels of leadership, and including every employee.

Learn More About Our Sustainability Governance Structure Below

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and guidance on sustainability matters. Our Board discusses sustainability topics, confirms goals, and monitors progress twice a year through the Nominating and Governance Committee.

Executive Team

Our Executive Team drives our sustainability strategy by setting a clear vision, aligning it with corporate goals, and planning for long-term needs. The team holds business segments accountable for specific initiatives and engages leaders to develop a unified sustainability agenda. Additionally, they build trust and commitment in sustainability across the organization by ensuring transparent communication of our progress to stakeholders.

Corporate Social and Environmental (CSER) Committee

Our Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) Committee ensures that the company’s environmental and social decisions are integrated into our overall strategy, operational processes, and culture. The committee oversees internal metrics and performance targets, including monitoring standards to ensure compliance and progress towards sustainability goals. The CSER Committee is chaired by the Chief Human Resources Officer, with members including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and the Director of Sustainability.

Sustainability Team

Our Sustainability Team delivers our sustainability initiatives and ensures alignment with our sustainability goals.

CSER Council

Our CSER Council ensures the execution of our sustainability strategy is successful and creates a positive impact. The CSER Council is composed of an advisory group of senior leaders from across the organization.

CSER Ambassadors

Our CSER Ambassadors promote sustainability practices across the organization and engage employees in our sustainability journey. All our CSER Ambassadors are volunteers.

Operating Responsibly and Ethically

From our beginning more than 70 years ago, our core values have underpinned how we operate at Moog. Now, as we mature our approach to sustainability, our values and Environmental, Social, and Governance framework guide how we approach our efforts today and in the future.

We pride ourselves on the way we conduct business, how we treat our people, and the positive impact we have on our communities. We intend to be around for a long time and believe our legacy will not only be found in our products, but also through the greater impact of our work. To help us get there, we’re committed to strong and dedicated leadership, ethical practices, and responsible oversight.

Recently Moog published a sustainability report that discloses our performance under SASB Aerospace and Defense, TCFD, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We’re also working on creating baselines for future disclosures.

Moog have selected the UNSDG goals as our strategic guidance framework for our Environmental and Social Governance (ESG). Moog have committed to report and disclose their ESG performance using The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). The reporting to SASB also provides the basis for Moog’s reporting to The Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). In the course of the next few months, Moog’s Sustainability Team will also discuss the suitability of further Climate Change impact disclosure recipients, such as the Climate Change Project (CDP) or the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), in alignment with internal and external stakeholders’ requirements.
